Salary: $18.00 - $19.87 per hour / PSW Student - $24.26 per hour (2024 rate) + $3.00 incentive per hour
The City of Timmins is currently accepting student applications for the summer of 2026 within the following Departments:
- Clerk & Community Services (Cemetery, Enforcement Services, Facilities Management)
- Financial Services
- Golden Manor (Administration, Nursing, Maintenance)
- Growth & Infrastructure (Building/Planning, Engineering)
- Information Technology
- Public Works & Environmental Services (Pine and King Roads, Traffic, Environmental Services, Administration)
- Timmins Fire Department
- Timmins Public Library
- Timmins Transit
Only students attending a post-secondary educational institution on a full-time basis will be considered for hiring by the City.
The Corporation will require that eligible students provide proof of current full-time attendance in post-secondary education.
Students must also be returning to school in August or September of the same year in order to qualify for employment with the City.
A valid driver’s licence (Class “G2” or “G”) is required for some positions.
