Position Overview
Crawford Mechanical Ltd., a fast-growing Indigenous-owned mechanical and construction contractor, is seeking a highly skilled and safety-driven Site Supervisor to manage all on-site activities across various projects in Ontario. The ideal candidate will have experience overseeing multi-trade construction sites, ensuring health and safety compliance under OHSA, and managing jobs registered under a Notice of Project (NOP) with the Ministry of Labor.
Key Responsibilities
Health, Safety & Environmental Duties
· Oversee and coordinate all site activities, including subcontractors, trades, and equipment
· Ensure work is performed to specifications, schedule, and quality standards
· Maintain strict compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) requirements
· Lead daily safety talks, site inspections, and incident reporting
· Ensure all site operations follow Ministry of Labor guidelines, especially for projects requiring an NOP filing
· Liaise with project managers, consultants, and clients to ensure smooth communication and workflow
· Manage site logistics including materials, equipment, and personnel movement
· Maintain site documentation including safety logs, daily reports, and timesheets
· Foster a positive and productive job site culture focused on safety, accountability, and teamwork
Qualifications
· Minimum 5 years of experience as a Site Supervisor or similar role in the construction industry
· Proven experience running Notice of Project (NOP) sites in Ontario
· Strong understanding of OHSA and construction safety protocols
· Ability to manage multiple trades and drive efficient process flow
· Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
· Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and construction documents
· Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed
· Current certifications in First Aid, Working at Heights, WHMIS, and Supervisor Health & Safety Awareness (or willingness to obtain)
