Key Responsibilities:
- Installs primary and secondary ground support.
- Rehabilitates existing drifts, crosscuts, and mine openings.
- Scales loose rock from backs and walls.
- Operates conventional jackleg/stoper equipment.
- Installs screen, rebar, Swellex, Split Set, resin bolts, cable bolts, and mesh as required.
- Conducts workplace inspections and hazard assessments.
- Performs pre-operational equipment inspections.
- Completes minor maintenance on equipment.
- Works
safely while following mine procedures and ground control standards.
Qualifications
- Ontario Underground Hard Rock Common Core
- Experience with mine rehabilitation and ground support installation
- Strong understanding of ground control practices
- Ability to read ground support plans
- Commitment to working safely in underground environments
- Valid driver's license
