Key Responsibilities:

• Installs primary and secondary ground support.
• Rehabilitates existing drifts, crosscuts, and mine openings.
• Scales loose rock from backs and walls.
• Operates conventional jackleg/stoper equipment.
• Installs screen, rebar, Swellex, Split Set, resin bolts, cable bolts, and mesh as required.
• Conducts workplace inspections and hazard assessments.
• Performs pre-operational equipment inspections.
• Completes minor maintenance on equipment.
• Works safely while following mine procedures and ground control standards.
  
  

Qualifications

• Ontario Underground Hard Rock Common Core

• Experience with mine rehabilitation and ground support installation

• Strong understanding of ground control practices

• Ability to read ground support plans

• Commitment to working safely in underground environments
• Valid driver's license
