Reports To: Shop Supervisor/Service Manager
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Radiator Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, rebuilding, and maintaining radiators, charge air coolers, condensers, oil coolers, and related cooling system components for automotive, heavy equipment, industrial, and commercial applications. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality workmanship and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect, diagnose, and repair radiators and cooling system components.Perform pressure testing and leak detection on radiators, coolers, and associated equipment.Remove, replace, repair, and rebuild radiator cores and tanks.Conduct soldering, brazing, welding, and fabrication work as required.Clean, flush, and maintain cooling system components.Operate shop equipment and tools safely and efficiently.Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and parts used.Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards.Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations.Communicate effectively with supervisors, customers, and team members regarding repair requirements and completed work.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.Experience working as a Radiator Technician, Automotive Technician, Welder/Fabricator, or related mechanical trade is preferred.Knowledge of cooling systems, heat exchangers, and radiator repair techniques.Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and work orders.Experience with welding, brazing, soldering, and fabrication is considered an asset.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Ability to lift and move heavy components safely.Valid driver's license preferred.
