Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Museum Director/Curator and/or designate, the Part-Time Museum Attendant will provide greeting, guarding, operational support, and retail support for the Timmins Museum.
Duties
• Greeting and informing visitors about the community and the museum.
• Providing tours of the museum and Hollinger House.
• Providing security for exhibitions and related activities.
• Working in the gift shop, which includes sales, cash balances and stock inventories.
• Supporting programming and events.
• Other related duties as required.
Qualifications
• Grade 12 diploma or equivalency.
• Previous retail, gallery and customer service experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability work in a team environment.
• Fluency in English and French mandatory.
• Current and clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening mandatory.
These duties are performed on weekends and some evenings.
