Please note that this position is located at our Penhorwood Mill & Concentrator which is located approximately 70km west of Timmins towards Foleyet. Selected applicants will be responsible for their own transportation to and from the site on a daily basis. Travel allowance is provided.

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

• Works under the direction of the Lead Operator and according to established Federal & Provincial regulations, and Company prescribed work procedures and safety policies.
• Operates, adjusts and maintains milling equipment and associated buildings.
• Performs product testing.
• Performs other duties related to mill activities to accomplish a safe and efficient operation.
• Maintains good housekeeping practices.

JOB SCOPE/DIMENSIONS

• Fully supports the Magris Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) programs by participating in their implementation, maintenance and enforcement as well as compliance with Corporate programs and policies.
• Takes proper samples from the circuit and performs production Quality Control tests required to ensure that quality standards are being met.
• Collects and performs testing on product samples for moistures and densities.
• Assists with the installation, relocation and testing of equipment.
• Sets up and operates typical mobile mining equipment – including but not limited to loader, back-hoe, grader and utility trucks to move ore or waste or to support other mine activities.
• Operates crushers, cleans, inspects and monitors equipment.
• Maintains, repairs, fuels and lubricates equipment as required and as per the manufacturer’s recommendations on a regular basis.
• Performs other equipment operation and routine maintenance duties.
• Maintains good housekeeping practices of crusher, floatation and drying building
• Perform other duties as may be required and assigned by the Leader or Staff Supervisor.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Education and Experience requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Preferably 1-2 years in a Mineral processing facility
• Basic Mill Common Core training program
