Industrial Mechanic 2 – Timmins, ON

Schedule: 40 hrs./week (7 :30 a.m. – 4 :30 p.m.)

Responsibilities

Read/interprets drawings, blueprints, and technical documents Set up & operate CNC and manual machines (milling, drilling, grinding) Measure, compute dimensions/tolerances, and ensure accuracy Assemble machined parts and subassemblies Perform maintenance and troubleshoot equipment Maintain safe, clean work environment

Skills

Machining processes, tools, and materials knowledge Blueprint/drawing reading Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, communication Able to work independently and in a team

Experience

3–5 years machining experience (drilling/mining asset) CNC and manual machine operation

Education

Secondary school completion required Machinist apprenticeship is an asset

Working Conditions

Physical

Lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 lbs regularly Bend, crawl, walk uneven surfaces, awkward positions Use hand tools (must provide own tools) Travel to customer sites up to 100% (including interprovincial)

Strong communication and technical explanation skills Independent decision-making and problem-solving Ability to analyze technical data and present solutions Team-oriented and customer-service focused
