Access Better Living Inc. is a not-for-profit organization promoting independent living and community involvement for seniors and persons with disabilities through the provision of quality services and housing.

We are seeking to hire Permanent Part-Time Home Support Worker to work in our community-based Home Support Program within a unionized environment in Timmins.

Job Overview:

· As a Home Support Worker, you will be able to assist seniors residing in their own home with activities of daily living in order to maintain their home environment

· To provide non personal care tasks that range from but are not limited to, dishes, laundry, meal preparation etc.

· To develop and maintain effective professional client relations

· Ensuring all clients receive the assistance in the service agreement and delivered in a safe, timely and effective manner

Qualifications:

· Relevant experience working within the senior population

· Relevant cleaning experience

· Bilingualism is an asset but not mandatory

· Must possess a valid driver’s license and insurance (2 million liability), as the use of your personal vehicle is required

· Clear criminal record

· Current standard first aid and CPR certification

Working hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm (some evenings may be required)

After probation $22.08 per hour
