Job Summary

Cain Safety Fire Protection Inc. is looking for a full-time fire alarm technician to join their professional and highly skilled team of employees. Candidates must be willing to work Monday to Friday while occasionally attending after hour service calls on weeknights and weekends. Cain Safety Fire Protection Inc. is committed to providing their customers with quality fire protection services around the clock and is seeking a candidate that will represent the company in a professional and respectful manor while dealing with both customers and fellow colleagues. 

Responsibilities: 

Responsibilities will include:

• Performing monthly, semi-annual and annual inspections on fire alarm systems, sprinkler systems, kitchen systems, fire extinguishers, emergency lights and hoses
• Assisting in installing new fire alarm systems and verifying the functionality of the system by testing devices, connections and signals
• Preparing thorough reports and documents using a tablet
• Identifying problems with fire alarm panels and successfully troubleshooting them
• Attending after hours and weekend service calls

Qualifications: 

Preferably, candidates should have:

• An electrical and/or electronics diploma, or equivalent from accredited college/university or documented and demonstrated trade qualification

• Canadian Fire Alarm Association (CFAA) Registration or comparable qualification is an asset
  

Requirements:

• A clean and valid driver’s license (G-license)
• Strong oral and written communication skills in the English language – French is an asset

Experience: 

• 1-2 years experience in the fire protection industry is an asset
