GFL Environmental is looking for DZ Truck Driver to be based out of our Timmins location! 

As a GFL DZ Driver, you will be responsible for the hauling of recycling materials from residential areas, The driver is responsible for completing route collection as part of a team of drivers in the Timmins area. .

Key Responsibilities:

• Satisfy customer needs for service. Ensure that service is completed in accordance with established policies.
• Responsible for daily pre and post trip inspections.
• Complete an assigned daily route as assigned by the Operations Manager.
• Daily route consists of driving to customer sites, secure bin on truck, empty bin at transfer station, return bin to customer site.
• Perform driver check-ins at day’s end to ensure complete and accurate paperwork completion.
• Ensure assigned routes are completed in a timely and safe manner.
• Ensure that all protocols are followed while dumping loads at municipal recycling/waste facilities.
• May perform some additional responsibilities as assigned by the Operations Manager.
• • Proven ability to multi-task & ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Knowledge of electronic devices (i.e. tablets, EOBR, company 10-4 phones)
  • Knowledge of industry an asset.

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:

• Completion of high school. Post-secondary courses or diploma would be considered an asset.
• Must have valid DZ license.
• 1-2 years driving experience in a transportation sector.
• Experience driving manual transmission.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Other heavy equipment experiences an asset.
