Reporting to the Campus Manager, Timmins, the Behaviour Intervention Team (BIT) Coordinator will be responsible for the centralized triage of student concern forms and coordination for the Behaviour Intervention Team.

What you will be doing:

  • Receive and review Student Concern Reports submitted by faculty, staff, or peers;
  • Conduct a preliminary assessment of the urgency and severity of the reported behaviour and gather additional information when required;
  • Accurately document all received reports and triages decisions in the appropriate tracking system;
  • Participate in Behaviour Intervention Team meetings to discuss cases, share triage assessments, and contribute to the development of intervention plans; and
  • Provide risk and trend analysis reporting and ensure that the BIT policies, protocols, and procedures are standardized and OHRC aligned and proactive in nature.

What you will need to be considered:

  • Two (2) year Community College diploma, or equivalent; and
  • Minimum four (4) years of practical experience.

The successful candidate will have the ability to organize simple statistical information and to understand the elementary principles of a science or a professional discipline. Additional training in Behavioural Intervention/ Threat Assessment, Mental Health First Aid, ASIST, SafeTalk is considered an asset
