POSITION SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Team Manager, the Employment & Training Coach will be responsible for delivery of programs and services to achieve the annual goals and targets of the Department. The main purpose is to assist the clients and employers in meeting their employment and training objectives.
REQUIREMENTS
- Degree/Diploma in Business or a related discipline
- Minimum of three years of experience working with the public, preferably at an employment & training organization.
- Working knowledge of career assessment tools and their application.
- Ability to prepare and present at venues to promote the METS objectives and results.
- Knowledge of sources of labor market information within the community of Moosonee along with the First Nation communities within the Mushkegowuk area.
- Familiarity with community service organizations and their referral process.
- Knowledge of Computers and Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of Access database application.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Must be self-directed and able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Good analytical, problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to organize and prioritize a wide variety of assignments with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work overtime to meet deadlines and emergency situations.
- Possess a valid Ontario driver’s license and be willing to travel.
